CAMPING at Philippe Lake and Taylor Lake

1. Registration and permits
Maximum of one family or four adults per site.
Maximum of two tents or one travel trailer per site (travel trailers are not permitted at Taylor Lake). Reservations for two days or more will be honoured up until 4 pm on the day after the first night. Camping is allowed only in designated locations. You may arrange to extend your stay before 8 pm on the evening before your day of departure.

2. Arrival and departure times
Arrival
Between 1:30 pm and 9:30 pm (high season)
Between 1:30 pm and 8:00 pm (low season) Departure
Before 11 am on the day your permit expires

3. Vehicles
ONE vehicle only per site. Any other motorized vehicle must be left at the Parent Beach parking lot. Entry fees are charged.
The parking lot at Smith Beach is reserved for campers at sites 332 to 339.
All other campers must walk or bike to the beach.
Motorhomes, camper vans and fifth wheel trailers are permitted on sites A3 to A17 only.
Tent trailers and travel trailers are allowed only at designated sites.

4. Visiting guests
Visiting guests must leave their vehicles in the parking lot at Parent Beach. Visiting guests will not be admitted after 8 pm.
Visiting guests must leave before 10 pm.

5. Curfew
A curfew is in effect from 10 pm to 7 am. Please consider your neighbours, and avoid making excessive noise at all times.

6. Water
There are no water taps at the campsites. Water taps can be found close by (see map).

CANOE-CAMPING at La Pêche Lake

1. Registration and permits
Camping is allowed only in designated locations. You must reserve your campsite (and canoe, if applicable) before setting out for the site. For your safety, you may not leave the registration site and set out for your campsite after sunset. You must keep a copy of your permit with you at all times. You must vacate your campsite BEFORE 11 am on the day your permit expires.

Between 1:30 pm and 8:00 pm (low season)

Departure
Before 11 am on the day your permit expires

3. Vehicles
You must leave your vehicle at the beach parking lot or in the rental kiosk parking lot. You must place a copy of your permit on the dashboard of your vehicle.

4. Operation pack-out
Garbage bags will be available when you check-in so that you can pack out your garbage. Please take it home with you or deposit it at the rental kiosk.
We recommend that you use recyclable plastic containers rather than metal or glass containers.


5. Firewood and water
Firewood is supplied at the campsites with a fee of $5.00 plus tax per night. . Campfires are permitted only in the places allocated for that purpose. There are no water taps on the sites. Bottled water is available ($) at the rental kiosk.

6. Food racks
Use the racks to keep your food and garbage out of the reach of animals such as bears and raccoons.


7. Sport fishing
Fishing is permitted. You must comply with the regulations for Zone 10 in the province of Quebec.


It is your responsibility to know and comply with the laws and regulations governing Gatineau Park.
A reference document is available on request at the Camping Registration Kiosk.

Firewood
The Canadian food inspection agency has put into affect a ministerial order claming that it is prohibited to move firewood.  This claim is to help prevent the emerald ash borer from spreading into different sectors.  ALL FIREWOOD BROUGHT FROM OUTSIDE THE PARK WILL BE CONFISCATED ON YOUR ARRIVAL.

Alcohol
Possession and consumption of alcohol are prohibited in Gatineau Park.
Offenders will be liable to a fine. .

Animals
Pets are not allowed at campsites and beaches or in picnic areas.
Feeding wild animals (raccoons, squirrels, bears, etc.) is strictly prohibited.
In order to avoid attracting animals, it is strongly recommended that you do not keep food inside your tent or trailer.
We suggest using sealed containers.

Campfires
Campfires are permitted only in the places allocated for that purpose.  Prohibited to remove any wood from the forest.

Responsibilities
The NCC and Demsis Recreational Services Inc. are not responsible for any damage caused by natural forces (wind, rain, etc.) or damage resulting from Park plant and animal life, or for thefts, vandalism or material damage. .

Acts of vandalism
Campers and their visiting guests will be held responsible for any damage or acts of vandalism they may cause.
